I found a 755 in northern PA for sale and was wondering if it would be a good purchase. Here is a list of additional equipment that is currently on the tractor.
Model 70 loader, heated cab with lights, 3 sets of wheel weights with turf tires. The front tires are shot and need replaces. The overall condition is almost new with only 425 hours on the meter. The information I got was that it was owned by a church and was only used for snow removal (this may explain the bald front tires. The guy is asking 10,000 or 11,000 with new 5ft Woods mower. Are there any problems with this model or things I need to keep an eye out for. Any input would be great. This would also be my first tractor. Thanks

Is it 4WD and what year model is it? They were made from 1986 to 1997. I would like to know what was done with this tractor to tear up a set of tires in 425 hours? ....

The tractor is a model year 1989 which was sold off the dealers lot in 1990, it does have 4WD and the correct hours are 493. As for the front tires, my guess would be that if they were using it to plow snow on a asphalt parking lot that that may lead to premature wearing of the front tires. Especially if they were pushing snow and tring to trun at the same time. The front tires are about 25% and the rear tires are about 80%. Any thoughts? ....

I found a JD 755 with 592 hrs. it has a model 42 front loader and a 5' box blade on the back. looks well used but in good condition. What would I expect to pay.
I am planning on using it around the house landscaping and and preparing a base for a new drive way, also a little work on clearing some land. If this is tooo small what would you suggest.

I believe a 755 is only 20 HP, I can't imagine cutting in a driveway with that. My drive was cut in with a dozer then 2x3 limestone for a base followed by #73 limestone, I think a 755 would have a heart attack before you got much done. ....
